The copyrighted works used in my fanworks are used legally as allowed under "fair use" law

About Me

I'm in my 30's, have the maturity of a teenager, still get carded when buying alcohol, and live like a frugal old woman, hermit-like, with cats. I revel in a condition called Asperger's Syndrome, am miserable in any weather that tops around 20 degrees Celsius, and my bedroom is painted a revolting colour of powder pink, which I love.

I love disaster movies, supernatural phenomena, and God, but am not a member of any particular religion. I can't remember the last time I wore a dress. (Maybe that last trip to Vegas when my sparkly high heels tore my feet up to the point of bleeding. Fuck heels.)

I hate bigotry, love kinky folks, and only do housework when it gets to the point that I'm afraid I might be creating new species in my kitchen. My favourite fruit is nectarines.

I owe my life to some unknown fisherman who saved me from drowning off the coast of California when I was six years old. I lived in Tokyo for one year, and it was maybe the greatest experience of my life. (Ah, Ikebukuro Nishi-guchi Nova!) I eat way too much frozen pizza and the only thing I can cook is an always-interesting beef stew.

My name means "love" in Italian and I try my best to live up to that. ♥

Some of my Past and Present Internet Haunts

I do have a LiveJournal account, blissfire, that I hardly use. I may go years between posts, and there's no rhyme or reason as to what I put up there. Warcraft rants, vid announcements, the odd link to YouTube funnies, etc.

I have, in the past, spent a frightening amount of time playing Neopets, and have a number of beautiful, rare, and in some cases discontinued (old art) pets. I did have an old art MSPP, but keeping it just for its rarity didn't make sense to me, so I traded it for a Maraquan draik. =) My main account is amouramarie.

I do love me some anime (and manga), and it's handy to have a place to keep track of what I've seen/read. My MyAnimeList profile is blissfire.

I'm not sure why, but I also have a Last.fm profile: blissfire. I guess sometimes it can be fun to see statistics of how often you listen to certain songs and which artists are your favourite by play count. Currently, my favourite music appears to be by Hawksley Workman. Try out Striptease and Piano Blink, they're particularly excellent. =)

I have a little Photobucket account, also blissfire, where I store some photos, screenshots, etc for linking when I don't want to deal with my less-than-intuitive web server, or don't want them cluttering my computer.
